Alfred Derbyshire Ltd is a family run business which have been trading since 1892 in the town of Southport. Operating firstly from a small shop which can still be seen at the front of our premises. We now pride ourselves on the recently refurbished showroom and trade counter facilities. Employing just six members of staff we are able to offer a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

The Derbyshire family sold the company in March 2005 to a family who have over 30 years experience in the plant hire and tool supply industry. They transferred their stock from a small shop in Hesketh Bank and have spent the last two years regenerating the showroom. Having installed new computer systems and displays to make the customers shopping experience more enjoyable.

Alfred Derbysire Ltd carries thousands of stock lines ranging from consumables such as woodscrews, silicones and drill bits to professional power tools and machinery. We also carry a large range of ladders, personal protective equipment and workwear.

We stock many big name brands including-

Makita, Milwaukee, Panasonic, Hitachi, Ryobi, AEG, Trend, Franklin, TengTools, Draper, Stabila, Stanley, Everbuild, Youngman, Harris, Carolus, Spear & Jackson, Dickies, Snickers, Irwin, Gedore and Freud.

Over the years Derbyshires have established a large customer base in the North West. Working closely with the local authorities, colleges and factories we continue to steadily grow as a business.
